I find it lets me try out new stuff and challenges me to work different ways, but keeps me from getting bogged down in interconnecting a lot of different design ideas if i had too many ready made options going at once + switching modes + from feeling frustrated with slow progress in the more open ended program. I start by using the open ended program to mess with the ready made one, 1st with modulation/interaction/sequencing, then audio and then slowly copy functionality that i really like + my own perspective on how things would be more fun/interesting from the ready made program to the open ended one. I've posted this before - a track I did with only Kyma: sextra testicle i like to use something open ended and something more ready made at the same time. Reaktor has remained a definite possibility. I guess I really have scoured everything out there. Drop it in other hosts) Yep, I'm familiar with all of these. All of the modulation inputs and outputs can be assigned to MIDI messages, and used to control other hardware or softsynths you're running. There's hundreds of synths/samplers/effects/modulators available, and shared between users.
